Monarch Center – USA

The Monarch Center is a $300 million, 24-story skyscraper that boasts having the city’s finest office, hotel and retail space in Atlanta. Since coming into new ownership in 2015, over $5 million had been planned for capital improvements. This included restoration of the building’s 95,000 sq ft (8,825 sqm) glass façade which was necessary due to having been left unprotected from cement leaching and minerals when the building was originally constructed in the 1980s.

Addco Metal was selected to complete the façade restoration. Over the course of nearly six months the 95,000 sq ft (8,825 sqm) glass façade was restored floor by floor, then EnduroShield was applied to each panel of glass after restoration to prevent the permanent staining from reocurring. EnduroShield also performs as a low maintenance solution which reduces the frequency of subsequent cleanings, and removes the need for harsh toxic cleaners.
