Where timeless architecture meets the latest protection technology
McKinney & Olive – USA
Designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, the iconic McKinney & Olive building is LEED v4 O+M: EB Gold certified. As green cleaning practices contribute to LEED credits, EnduroShield was specified to be applied to the 230,000 square feet of sheer curved glass façade to protect against corrosion, etching, and staining, making the glass far easier to clean and maintain.
Permanent*, easy clean surface protection
Architects continue to specify EnduroShield® due to the many benefits the hydrophobic coating provides to their customers. EnduroShield for glass is an optically clear protective coating that chemically bonds to the surface, creating a non-stick barrier resistant to corrosion, etching, and staining. Treated glass becomes both hydrophobic and also oleophobic (water and oil repellent) protecting against most forms of dirt, minerals and grime. The molecule is highly resistant to chemical breakdown by UV light giving it long term stability. For the construction industry, EnduroShield has been shown to significantly reduce the etching caused by cement render splashing on the glass. To make it easy to specify EnduroShield hydrophobic coating for your next project, a specification on each product is available for download.

Sydney Metro – Australia
6,000sqm of glass canopy has been treated with EnduroShield for Sydney Metro above ground stations. Our team worked with Empire Facades on the specifications for treating the futuristic style, multi-faceted glass roofing designed by international urban architects Hassell Studio. The coating was applied in-factory and the glass panels were then delivered to site and lifted into place.
Glass Chapel – Australia
HaArba’a Towers – Israel
Designed by the internationally acclaimed Moshe Tzur Architects and Town Planners, HaArba’a Towers in Tel Aviv, Israel features a 100,000sqm glass curtain wall, factory-treated via automated machine with EnduroShield. The water-repellent coating is highly durable and UV resistant, making it an ideal choice for the hot and arid climate.
Aerospace Research Centre - UK
Bombay Sapphire Distillery – UK
The spectacular BREEAM accredited Bombay Sapphire Distillery, with its strong environmental focus, is at the forefront of eco-conscious architecture. EnduroShield easy clean surface treatment for glass was applied onto the swooping glasshouse structures so that water and contaminants bead right off, protecting against staining and etching, whilst also reducing the effort and regularity of cleaning. The EnduroShield coated glass utilised in this remarkable structure is synonymous with the development’s eco strategy to reduce environmental and monetary costs from ongoing maintenance.
Habitat Horticulture – USA
Founding principal and lead designer David Brenner of Habitat Horticulture is a pioneer in the field of vertical gardens; the company has created living walls for the likes of Facebook, Tesla and Westfield. EnduroShield was applied to protect the stainless steel support base of this beautiful green living masterpiece for a client in Santa Clara, CA. EnduroShield will significantly reduce the long term effects from exposure to water, and tea staining.
Green & LEED projects
The EnduroShield hydrophobic coating has been specified by architects and professionals on a number of green projects. As the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System does not rate products, rather the certification program is used to rate green building projects; EnduroShield can be used to accumulate points towards this rating. As part of our commitment to green projects, EnduroShield is a proud member of the US Green Building Council, the developer of the ratings systems, reinforcing the environmental benefits that a project can attain when EnduroShield is specified.
“We have partnered with EnduroShield over a number of years. Many of our clients select the treatment, motivated by easier cleaning and reduced risk of etching. We have found customer satisfaction very high with the product, so we couldn’t be happier!”
James – Trinity Frameless Showers
Infinity Tower - Australia
“The coating came into its own 20 stories up when there was a concrete spill which went over a large part of the façade. It was 2 days before the cleaning contractor could get to it and they commented on how easy the concrete was to remove. Best of all, it hadn’t etched the glass, eliminating the need for any costly replacement.” Steve Harrity, Project Manager – Micos Group, Australia
