Our “Special Coating” Makes the News

KSHB 41 Action News talks about the benefits of EnduroShield for Glass Labyrinth.
And yes – you can get it for your glass at home too.

Just over 8 years ago EnduroShield was specified and applied to nearly one million pounds of 1-inch-thick plate glass used in this amazing sculpture at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri. Glass Labyrinth is the work of the late Robert Morris, an internationally renowned artist whose pieces have been exhibited or acquired by museums such as the Museum Of Modern Art, the Guggenheim and the Tate, among many others. This particular installation includes 53 large glass panels which stand 7 feet high that are organised into an interactive triangular maze.

Bill Carter from W Carter & Associates, the glazing contractor for this dynamic sculpture, verified that 8 years on the glass still looks as good as the day it was installed. No other coating would have handled the high traffic and weather variations of this environment for more than a couple of years at most. The museum is keen to have EnduroShield reapplied when necessary.

We are privileged to be working with glass companies around the world who rely on EnduroShield’s easy-clean, highly durable protection for applications such as this. The technology trusted by leading glass manufacturers and even used on the spire of the One World Trade Center in New York is now available for your glass at home too.

The coating provides a real cost saving on cleaning as surfaces stay noticeably cleaner between cleans. The robust protection shields the glass from staining and etching due to the long-term effects of build-up that often forms when exposed to water, dirt, and grime. Also ideal for simply keeping streaks and fingerprints at bay.
